Cooking Demonstrations

Herb is in demand as a food presenter and host for various events around Perth, and thoroughly enjoys collaborating with businesses, festivals, charities and organisations to bring his passion for all things cooking to the wider community.

He has presented cooking demonstrations for a host of businesses and brands including Fergusons, Garden City and Belmont Forum Shopping Centres, ATCO Gas, HBF, The WA Canteen Association, Coeliac Association, Brownes Dairy at the Perth Royal Show, and Bosch-Siemens at the Margaret River Great Escape. As well, he has joined forces with other Perth chefs and personalities such Vince Garreffa, Don Hancey, and Anna Gare to present at various festivals and events.

Herb also loves taking the time to give back to the community when he can. As part of his charity work, Herb has presented food demonstrations at the annual launch of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, and recently delivered cooking classes to the lucky staff at Target as part of his ambassador role with A Taste of Harmony. He has also visited the Livewire Room at Princess Margaret Hospital to give cooking classes as part of his involvement with Starlight Children’s Foundation.

In 2015 Herb appeared on local television a number of times in two cooking segments for Our State on a Plate, and on the Rottnest Special episode of Just Add Water. He also joined Lisa Fernandez on Channel 9’s Morning Show to promote the 5000 Meals Project during a number of live crosses to Bertram Primary School.

Cooking Classes

On a smaller scale, but just as much fun, we offer a fantastic way to get up close and personal with Herb during our Hands on with Herb cooking classes. Herb guides participants through preparing, plating, and, of course, eating a 3 course meal in the comfort of your own home.

The price of $150pp includes all ingredients, crockery, cutlery, recipes, and an assistant/wait-person who will work with Herb, you and your guests to ensure the class (and your dinner afterwards) runs exceptionally smoothly. The experience can be as ‘hands on’ and interactive as you’d like, or more of a demonstration-style experience with you and your guests enjoying the food at the end.

Hands on with Herb cooking classes are suitable for groups of 8 or more. Classes are available from Monday to Thursday, excluding public holidays.
