I’m thrilled to be an ambassador for this year’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. Supporting the amazing research, education and support work the Cancer Council provides is a cause that’s very close to my heart, having lost my mum to cancer when I was only 19. I don’t think there’s a more fun or easy way to be involved in raising these vital funds than sharing a cuppa with family and friends. You can hold morning teas anywhere!  Depending on how many people you’re inviting and what space you have available to you, you can hold it in your kitchen at home, the staff room at work, a community centre, schools, sports clubs, cafes, parks – the possibilities are endless.

Surfing Chefs for Surfaid I’ve always loved surfing and have done it most of my life. It’s given me so many great memories so when I was given the opportunity to help a very giving surf based charity, I jumped! Sure, the fact that all time surfing legend, Martin Potter was going to be there cooking, did help a little.. SurfAid is a non-profit humanitarian organisation whose aim is to improve the health, wellbeing and self-reliance of people living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing. All proceeds of the dinner will go directly to their cause. The night is going to be a lot of fun with great food from chef mates Russell Blaikie, Aaron Carr and Dany Angove.

We have been fortunate enough to be asked back for a second year running which is very exciting! Pinot Noir lovers are invited to join Jeff & Amy Burch to celebrate the intriguing variety at the annual Howard Park International Pinot Noir Tasting and Luncheon to be held at the picturesque Howard Park Winery, Margaret River on Saturday, 5th October 2013. An impressive line-up of 18 Pinot Noirs will be featured, with the best wines selected from around the world including South Africa,  New Zealand, France, the United States and renowned Pinot producers of Australia.

Breast Cancer Care WA Long Table lunch is back again for another year which will be it’s 10th anniversary. This year, 700 guests will be treated to a 4 course meal created by some great Perth chefs, Scott Brannigan, Russell Blaikie, Chris Taylor, Bob Rawlins, Stephen Clarke and myself. I’m so proud to be a part of the Long Table Lunch again this year. I’m excited and honoured to work as part of an amazing line up of Perth chefs to support Breast Cancer Care WA. I love that the passion I have for creating great food can help an organisation that is clearly also passionate about their vision to provide assistance to people affected by breast cancer.
